Quen Koetter
Quen’s yogic journey has been evolving magically throughout the past 6 years, finding inspiration in array of different practices. She embarked with a weekly Hatha class, used as a tool for controlling the stress of her fast-paced television production job in London. Truly awakened by its profound effects on her emotional, spiritual and physical well-being, she quickly found a new, more conscious and balanced way of living. With a spirit of adventure and a passion for travel, she journeyed to India in 2005 in pursuit of a deeper practice, spending time studying the Sivananda tradition. In 2008 her path called her to the guidance of Don & Amba Stapleton and she completed her 200-hr Interdisciplinary Teacher Training, then subsequently the 100-hr Pranassage Practitioner and Advanced Teacher Training at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica.
In addition, Quen is an ITEC and MTI certified Holistic Massage Therapist and is grateful to currently find ‘home’ to be Nosara, Costa Rica. Where she lives with her dog Rattika Bonita Gonzales and is a practicing yoga instructor and body worker.
Through a Vinyasa Flow practice, Quen focuses on breath synchronized movement and alignment within each posture. Emphasizing a balance between effort and surrender, working hard and letting go. Constantly flowing, she begins with a gentle warm-up that gradually builds to a steady, moderate-paced asana flow, crowning with a deeply restorative relaxation. A moving meditation, that rejuvenates and creates space for the body, mind & spirit. Energetic yet relaxing, her class will build strength, stamina & flexibility. Tailored to the needs of each person, Quen hopes to guide people in their own self-inquiry and discovery of yoga.
